BMW's Most Powerful EV

BMW M introduces the 2024 BMW i7 M70 xDrive, the most powerful purely electric model in its lineup, with a maximum output of 650 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque generated by two electric motors. This M-tuned vehicle accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in an estimated 3.5 seconds. As the third all-electric performance model following the i4 M50 and iX M60, the i7 M70 xDrive will make its global debut at the Auto Shanghai international motor show and will be built at BMW Group Plant Dingolfing. The worldwide market launch is set for the second half of 2023.

The i7 M70 xDrive features an M Sport Boost function and M Launch Control, with a peak output of 483 hp from the rear axle motor and 255 hp from the front axle motor. The vehicle can achieve a top speed of 155 mph and boasts an impressive estimated range of up to 295 miles, making it suitable for everyday use. It also includes a MAX RANGE operating mode for energy conservation. The exterior design showcases the vehicle's superior performance, while the updated BMW Operating System 8.5 with QuickSelect provides improved functionality and a more intuitive user experience.  No word on pricing at this time.
