Electric Trucks and Cybertruck News

Electric Trucks and Cybertruck News

We ran a poll this week in our EV newsletter and asked people which electric truck they would choose if money wasn't a concern. The results showed that the Rivian R1T was the most popular choice with 44% of the votes. The Hummer EV came in second with 24%, followed by the Chevy Silverado EV with 16%. The Ram 1500 REV received 8% of the votes, while the Tesla Cybertruck and Ford Lightning came in at 4%, respectively.  Hmmmm, I thought the Cybertruck and Lightning would be more popular.

Maybe this news will get you excited about the Cybertruck as Tesla recently shared updates on production, including new images of the production line and testing. The company plans to start production later this year and achieve volume production by next year. In its Q1 2023 financial results, Tesla confirmed the on-schedule progress of equipment installation at Gigafactory Texas and the production of "Alpha versions." The official images reveal significant progress in the production line, and the Cybertruck undergoing winter testing indicates that Tesla is nearing the final stages of the vehicle testing program.  The above picture is Courtesy of Tesla, Inc.
