Team Avis and EverCharge

Avis Budget Group and EverCharge, an SK Group company, have launched a number of EV charging stations at the George Bush International Airport in Houston, Texas. The stations will be used to power Avis and Budget's fleet of EVs for rent at the airport. EverCharge's patented load balancing software, SmartPower, will manage the charging of EVs and allocate power based on the vehicle's need, without putting a strain on the energy grid. The partnership between Avis Budget Group and EverCharge is designed to serve as a model for fleet electrification planning at airports across the U.S. and aligns with Avis Budget Group's target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030. Avis Budget Group and EverCharge plan to extend this partnership to additional airport locations this year.
