The All-Electric BMW 5 Series

BMW has been developing the first-ever BMW i5 for over a year, and now the development process is in its final stages. The all-electric version of the new BMW 5 Series Sedan is set to deliver an outstanding driving experience with its fine-tuned suspension control and driver assistance systems. The BMW i5 has gone through extensive testing in different environments, including snow-covered and icy surfaces in Sweden, extreme heat and dry conditions, city driving, country roads, motorways, and test tracks.

The BMW i5 will feature innovative Vertical Dynamics Management that elevates the 5 Series’ balance of confidence-inspiring handling and ride comfort to an even higher level. The Highway Assistant has also been taken to a new dimension with eye activation that enables lane changes.  Production of the eighth-generation BMW 5 Series Sedan will begin in summer 2023, with a market launch in October 2023.
