Rivian Trip
Last weekend, we took the Rivian R1T on a mountain adventure. Packed to the brim, the frunk held food and clothes, the bed carried bikes and other toys, and the gear tunnel was filled with additional mountain gear. Our destination was approximately 92 miles away from our South Denver home, with a significant elevation change from 5,652 feet to 10,416 feet.
Starting with around 200 miles of range, we arrived at our destination with 73 miles remaining. Thanks to our home's Level 2 charger, range anxiety was never a concern. We enjoyed the beautiful mountain weather and were thrilled to have an entirely electric weekend, including our two electric dirt bikes and two electric four-wheelers.
On our return trip, we began with 244 miles of range and arrived home with 199 miles left. It was a remarkable weekend. If you’ve never driven an EV in the mountains, there is nothing like it. Hills don’t stand a chance.
