- The Volkswagen Group reported a 45% increase in all-electric vehicle deliveries in the first nine months of 2023, totaling 531,500 BEVs, with a BEV share of 7.9% of total deliveries, led by significant growth in Europe (61% increase), the USA (74% increase), and a slight increase in China (4%).
- BYD is set to launch an electric truck by the end of the year, featuring the BYD nameplate, and it is expected to be part of BYD's Ocean Series, designed by ex-Audi and current BYD designer Wolfgang Egger.
- Mercedes-Benz conducted the first public crash test between two electric vehicles, featuring the EQS SUV and the Europe-market EQA, to demonstrate the safety of EVs and highlight the measures taken to protect occupants and high-voltage battery systems in the event of a crash.

- AFWERX and BETA Technologies are constructing the first Level 3 direct current electric vehicle fast charging station on a military installation at Duke Field, Florida, to facilitate fast charging for electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft testing.
- Power Innovations International (Pii), LITEON Technology's subsidiary has introduced a Level 3 Electric Vehicle DC fast charger that can be integrated into various input voltage configurations of US power distribution infrastructure without derating.
- The main challenges facing non-Tesla EV charging networks, such as Electrify America, include chargers that don't work properly, often due to component issues, and a surge in demand for charging services, with the need to acquire and maintain parts being a key challenge, according to Anthony Lampkin, VP of Operations at Electrify America.
